Press Release – Newbuild for Tronds Marine Service

Tronds Marine Service will put into operation a new hybrid workboat currently under construction in Poland.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in March 2026.

The vessel is designed by ProGreen at Fitjar and has a total length of 28.7 meters. It is being built to top specifications, with excellent and modern facilities for the crew. Onboard there are six single cabins and two double cabins, and the boat is equipped with a powerful battery pack of 1445 kWh for hybrid operation. The deck is outfitted with three heavy-duty cranes, and the vessel has a bollard pull of 20 tons.

Tronds Marine Service will be responsible for management and operation of the vessel, including technical management and crew. The vessel will have a crew of eight persons on rotation and will be chartered by Alsaker Fjordbruk, who will operate it within their business area.

So far this year, we can report a strong market and high activity for our tugs, floating crane, barges, and MultiCat. The tugs have carried out projects along the entire Norwegian coast, as well as voyages to England, Denmark, and Jan Mayen. Our MultiCat “Tronds Flex” has served both the aquaculture sector and industry at large, proving to be a versatile tool across multiple market segments. The floating crane “Tronds Lift 8”, with a lifting capacity of 400 tons, has completed numerous exciting projects from Tromsø in the north to Stavanger in the south.
